Inspiration Webpage Map Project
Step 1: Pick a webpage you like. Anything, just remember the more complicated the bigger and more intricate the project.
Step 2: Sketch and outline of the webpage on scratch paper. Just outline the major points of the home page. Make notes of links, advertisement blocks, and other parts. Get as detailed as possible, but I am not looking for specific content, just a layout of the home page.
Step 3: Open Inspiration8 on our classroom laptops. Open FILE, Open TEMPLATES, Open PLANNING and choose WEB SITE Plan project. Drag the items you want to use to describe each section of your map and place descriptions inside. (See example of my map of the RandomActsOfLiteracy.weebly.com site to right.)
Step 4: Once finished, please save your work (EXPORT) as a JPEG (GRAPHIC) file to your desktop. Send the file to me using your Gmail account.
Grading:
3 points - Design and Creativity
3 points - Accuracy and All Elements Present
4 points - Grammar and Accurate Layout
Good Luck,
Mr. S

City Exploration Collaborative Project (INSPIRATION)
Hello Everyone:
Over the next two days you will create a web for a city in the United States. There is an example of what your completed project should look like to the right. Click on the picture to the right to see my example. You will be responsible for creating an identical web to the one described
Please include the following data:
City Facts: Year Founded, Longitude, Latitude, Population, Area, Time Zone, and Mayor's Name.
Also include major industries, professional sports teams, colleges, historical places, museums, and weather information. Each place you list will need to have a link to the website that corresponds to it. Weather can link to any local news station, but other links must be the official sites for those places, not some other site or advertisement. You can use my template to get started, or start from scratch. If you want, you may select all of my formatting, hit copy, paste to a blank document and work from it if you like. If you have any questions, just ask or email me a question. This project is worth 10 points toward your Marking Period grade. Good Luck!! Mr. S

Sales Flyer & Business Card Assignments
Business Technology Students:
Here are the instructions and grading rubrics for the Sales Flyer and Business Card Assignments. You are to create these projects based on the local business idea you had last week for the letterhead. Your local business is the same business we will create financial, marketing, and other reports for later this year. We will also be working on a layout of your store/business and deciding how to place your products and services to get the best response from customers. I also want you to know that your final project, Business Plan, will be based on this business. For the two projects listed above, here are your instructions:
Sales Flyer Project:
Using a MS Word template you will create a 1-page Sales Flyer for your business. Include the name, weebly website, and your email. Use our School's address and contact information (listed below). Make sure you are creating a flyer that will use at least one picture, 2-3 paragraphs of text, and some design elements that you used in creating Letterhead. When you are finished, email the flyer to me at hscribneruchs@gmail.com. You will recieve up to 10 points for this project if you follow the instructions above.
Business Card Project:
Using MS Word, select a business card template that you like. Make the business cards have the same design elements as the Letterhead you created last marking period. You should use the contact information of the School (see below) and your name, title (CEO, President, whatever), your email, and your weebly website account. Be creative and save your final draft and email it to me for up to 10-points toward your 2nd Marking Period grade. Good Luck!!
