The rest of the journal entries are in email format and you will not be responsible for them for a grade.

Please use the time in class to finish up the assignment from yesterday.  Today we will see part 3 of the Word video and tomorrow there will be another keyboarding drill and an MS Word assignment.

Finally, please check out Google Reader.  Once you are signed in on GMAIL, I want you to add our class blog to your Google Reader.  This way you can add other student blogs or blogs around the internet that you are interested in and keep track of postings from others.

MS Word Project 1 Instructions

Good Morning Everyone,

Today's Journal Posting will require you to type in the keyboarding activity sheet #1.....good luck!!

Please follow the instructions below to complete today's MS WORD Project 1:

1. Open MS WORD 2007
2. Hit "NEW"
3. Search For "letter to legislator urging action"
4. Add your name and address information to appropriate spaces
5. Add recipient information - "See Blackboard"
6. Change Font of letter to ALGERIAN / 12pt
7. Indent only the body of the letter, not headings, addresses, or thanks/signature lines
8. Change margins for letter to "Narrow"
9. Save letter to your documents as "Word Project 1 Legislator"
10. Email a copy of the final document to instructor at hscribneruchs@gmail.com

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENTS

Public Service Announcement (PSA) Rubric

This week you will be completing a Public Service Announcement in MS Movie Maker.

Grading is as follows:

     The Public Service Announcement must use a minimum of 15 pictures or video clips

     PSA must be no less than 1:00 minute in length and no more than 2:00 minutes in length

     PSA must have smooth transitions between pictures

     PSA must use at least one piece of music.  If more, smooth transitions between sound bites

     PSA must have at least 3 facts about your topic
    
     PSA must be published as a movie file and viewable by Media Players

Following is the grading outline:
          30 points for neatness (smooth transitions)
          40 points for completeness  (All items present)
          10 points for within time limits
          20 points for partner review
