Today and tomorrow you will be using your time in class to research the cost of living in the Philadelphia area. You may break into teams and help each other find the following items for your budgets:
Rent/Mortgage - You must find a real apartment in the area. Know if your rent includes heat, hot water, etc. You must have an actual address for your home. Use Craigslist or another search site.
Transportation - Bus, Car, Train, Etc. You must include your cost of transportation in your budget. If you buy a car, you must include monthly payment, insurance, and upkeep.
Utilities - This includes heat, gas, light, cable tv, internet, phone, cell phone, etc. Use search engines to find average monthly costs for the area.
Life/Health Insurance Use average rates for someone your age.
